Daniel Rojas (Dany Harp) holds a degree in Master of Music from ASAB-Universidad Francisco José de Caldas (Colombia) and specializes in the performance of folk harps from Latin America. He has been a member of various ensembles performing, in addition to harp, other string instruments such as tiple, guitar, cuatro llanero, jarana, vihuela and bass. He initially focused on the traditional Llanera harp from Colombia and Venezuela, and later, expanded his studies to the Paraguayan & Mexican Harp, also in Latin American folk music.
Dany Harp has also pursued studies in music education, recording and musical production and was founder and director of the Sound Engineering programs of Universidad San Buenaventura and Universidad Abierta y a Distancia-UNAD in Colombia. He has participated in several festivals of music and harp in Latin America, Europe, Africa, and United States, like soloist and most recently with his group Arpa Café Ensamble and other groups such as Arpeggio Latino, Los Llaneros, and Mariachi Voces de America. Performances at festivals and concert venues for 30 years in France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Morocco and in America; Arpafest Cancun & Veracruz Harp (Mexico), the Old Town School of Folk Music (Chicago), Disney Theater & WAM Music Conference (Los Angeles), World Harp Festivals (Paraguay & Colombia), Colombian musicians encounter fest (New York City), Arpas al Fin del Mundo Fest (Chile), Festival of Harps (Ecuador).
